    Abstract of Title of Thomas Sworder to Fox, Luton (I) Conveyance of 1 Jun 1860 Parties: (i) Thomas Sworder of Luton, gentleman; (ii) Hertford, Luton & Dunstable Railway Company; (iii) Thomas Glenister of Luton, publican; (iv) John Cumberland of Luton, surveyor Reciting: - conveyance of 17 Mar 1856 from (1) devisees in trust of Frederick Burr to (2) Thomas Sworder; - Thomas Sworder had purchased the premises for the use of the Luton, Dunstable & Welwyn Junction Railway Company incorporated under an act of 1855; - Luton, Dunstable & Welwyn Junction Railway Company had amalgamated with Hertford & Welwyn Railway Company as Hertford, Luton and Dunstable Railway Company; - the Hertford, Luton and Dunstable Railway Company had reimbursed Thomas Sworder for his purchase but no conveyance had been made by him to the company; - Agreement of 29 Jul 1859 by (1) Thomas Sworder to (2) Hertford, Luton and Dunstable Railway Company to convey to any person nominated by them Operative Part: - (i), by direction of (ii), conveyed (a) to (iii) for £520 paid to (ii) Property [as shown on included plan]: (a) Fox public house situated near the Brick Kilns in Luton, not far from the Towns end and near the road from Luton to Dunstable formerly in occupation of Lawrence Clark, then John Ireland with ground in front also fronting (b) and leading down to the side of Dunstable Road or Fox Hill with a frontage of 75 feet; (b) barn and outbuildings belonging to (a); (c) small piece of ground adjoining (a) bounded: NW and NE by ground of Hertford, Luton and Dunstable Railway Company; SE by garden and premises of Joseph Anstee; SW by Dunstable Road measuring 35 poles Covenant by Hertford, Luton and Dunstable Railway Company to furnish copies of 21 Oct 1857 (II) Mortgage of 11 Jun 1860 between (i) Thomas Glenister and (ii) Dunstable Permanent Benefit Investment & Building Society for £400 (III) Redemption of mortgage at (II) on 4 Jun 1862 on payment of £379/19/6 (IV) Mortgage of 31 Aug 1860 Parties: (i) Thomas Glenister; (ii) Thomas Sworder Reciting: - mortgage of 23 May 1860 between (1) Thomas Glenister and (2) Dunstable Permanent Benefit Investment & Building Society for £400 Operative Part: - (i) borrowed £159 from (ii) on security of (a)-(c) in (I) subject to the mortgage of 23 May 1860 (V) Assignment of Mortgage of 5 Jun 1862 Parties: (i) Thomas Glenister; (ii) Thomas Sworder; (iii) William Bartholomew Best; of Lincoln, gentleman John Thomas Green of Woburn, gentleman Reciting: - (I) Operative Part: - (iii) paid £150 to (ii) by direction of (i); - (iii) paid £991 to (i); - the £1,150 was lent at 4.5% interest - (ii) released and (i) confirmed (a)-(c) in (I) to (i) as security
