Correspondence from White, Mrs. to Daniel Beaumont: Reads- Encloses clause from the will of "Mrs. M." [Matthews] relating to provision for 6 "maiden gentlewomen who reside & may reside in the respective 6 tenements called the Lodge in the East Street, Dunstable for their better support as long as the said charitable house called the Lodge shall subsist": £1000; but if it gives up "to my executrix for ever". Asks if Lodge is still functioning.
