Scope and Content
A piece of ground in Clophill adj. the highroad from Shefford, cont. 10 p., adj. N & E. other land of Earl de Grey, W. land of Crouch, S. sd. road; being part of Maddams close; on trust that they shall suffer such schoolhouse and other buildings to be erected thereon as parties above stated, or the patron rector and curate for the time being, shall direct for the purpose of educating boys, being children of the poorer classes of the inhabitants in Clophill and neighbourhood, in the principles of the United Church of England and Ireland upon such a system as the patron, rector and curate shall appoint, in whom also (together with the trustees) the appointment of the master shall be vested. Trustees dying shall be replaced by others by the patron and rector;
recites that certain inhabitants of Clophill are desirous of erecting a schoolhouse; a sum has been raised by subscription and a grant is about to be made by the National Society;

Endorsed with appointment of new trustees: Robert Low and George Horn, farmers, John White Burrows, builder, all of Clophill. 29 November 1852.
