- A piece of ground, staked and set out, part of the ground belonging to the tenement of Richard Read in the occupation of John Retchford, in Clophill, near the road from Ampthill to Shefford, measuring 16½ x 24 ft.; adj. the highway S., and the ground of Richard Read W., N. and E.; On trust that they will build a convenient school - house for the education and religious upbringing of the children of Clophill in virtue and learning; and for the habitation and dwelling of a schoolmaster, he being a discreet, well-learned man of honest life, civil carriage and good behaviour; To be held of John Charnock esq. of his manor of Beadlow, at 4d. p.a. rent.
