The volume has been repaired and rebound, but the first ten pages or so were already mutilated before this work was carried out. These pages have been conserved as far as possible, but their fragmentary nature makes it impossible to determine exactly when the accounts begin. The earliest dated accounts are for 1575, and the first dated rate assessment is 1580
The accounts from this volume have been transcribed in full by the Rev. J.E. Farmiloe and Rosita Nixseaman and published in B.H.R.S. Vol.33 (1953), with introduction and index. Thus no abstract of the contents is needed here. The detailed church rate assessments have not been transcribed or published.
