- Scope and ContentCopy lease Parties: (i) Dean and Chapter of Oxford Cathedral; (ii) George, 4th Duke of Marlborough Operative Part: - (i) leased (a) to (ii) for 21 years from 10 Oct 1770 at £12 per annum rent made up from £8 per annum for the vicarage and £4 per annum "being the third part residue of the said Rent in Corn (that is to say) for twenty shillings thereof three quarters of good, sweet, clean and well-winnowed wheat being after the rate of six shillings and eight pence the quarter and for the other three pounds twelve quarters of good, seasonable, sweet and clean malt being after the rate of five shillings the quarter". Property: (a) parsonage of Cople ["Copull"] called The Grange with tithes of grain, corn, hay and wood with houses, barns, stables, buildings, glebe lands, profits, commodities and advantages appertaining.
