    Draft copy of the will of Richard Edwards of Wilstead. A draft of the will ref.ABP/W1576/10, but undated, and with some different bequests to the final will. Bequests: To the poor of the parish of Wilstead 20 shillings. To the Church at Wilstead and to the highways of the same parish 10 shillings. To the poor of the parish of Wilstead one pightle of one acre abutting south on a close called Hogges Croft and north on a lane called Hooked Lane and east on the ground of Mordante. This pightle I will that they shall have the same for ever after the decease of my wife. To Agnes my Wife the appurtenances together with the grounds thereto belonging during her life. To my mother 11s 8d yearly during her life out of my house and grounds aforesaid and besides the 13s 4d I pay to her yearly for her thirde. To Robert Bygrave 10s and to Thomas [?] 10s and George Page to Margery Page 10s and a little brass pot To Elizabeth page one bullock and a half acre of pease crop and half the timber boards and quarters lying in the houses aforesaid. To William Smith one half acre of pease crop To John Page the bed in the loft and the table, and the form in the hall aftr the decease of my wife. To Margery Page my sister, two cows and one of the bigger hogs. To Matthew Manopas[?] one cow. To every one of my godchildren 12d. To my brother John 10s and to my brothers William, Henry 10s. To my brother Phillip’s child 2s 6d. Towards the repair of Cullington 12d Rest of estate and goods after debts paid to wife Agnes who is sole executor. To pay the legacies she can, with the discretion of his overseers make the value of 30s and 8d from the woods and trees now growing upon the grounds.
