    i) The Rev. Gregory Edward Whyley, Vicar of Eaton Bray ii) The Rev. G.E. Whyley, the present Vicar, James Gadsden and William Wood, the Churchwardens, and Wood Pearson and Sam Brown, Overseers of the Poor .Conveyance under the Act for facilitating the Conveyance and Endowment of sites for schools, 4 & 5 Victoria, and with the Consent of the Bishop of Ely, by i) to ii) of - all that plot of ground (8p.) in Eaton Bray near and opposite to the Church, being part of the Glebe land belonging to the Vicarage :S. public highway leading from Edlesborough to Stanbridge : all other parts, by Glebe land [Plan in margin] To hold to ii) and their successors to be used as a site for a school for poor persons of the parish, the school to be conducted on the principles of the Incorporated National Society for promoting the education of the Poor in the principles of the Established Church; School to be under the management of the Vicar, and to be open to inspection by H.M. Inspectors Endorsements: see below Witnesses: A. Ashfield (Master Extraordinary in Chancery) Thomas Gadsden, farmer, Eaton Bray William Brown, parish clerk, Eaton Bray Seal: seal of the Bishop of Ely Signatures: i) and ii) 9 November 1841 Endorsements to the Conveyance: a) Certificate of W.B. Wood, Vicar of Totternhoe; T.W. Mead, Vicar of Studham, and T.L.J. Sunderland, vicar of Tilsworth, that they had examined land at the request of the Rev. G.E. Whyley and ascertained that it is situate at Eaton Bray, and that it is less than 10p. in area 6 November 1841 b) Note of Inrollment in Chancery 18 January 1842 c) Memorandum concerning grant of £20 by the Board of Education of the Archdeaconry and County of Bedford to Eaton Bray National School, on condition that the sum be repaid or interest paid at 4% per annum if the school be transferred to a School Board, signed by John Hall Doe, Vicar and sole manager, 31 October 1872
