    Faculty. Reciting that when James Webster, clerk, became Rector of Meppershall he found the Parsonage House in a very ruinous condition so that it was necessary that the whole should be taken down and rebuilt.

  • Scope and Content
    Requests faculty to build in place thereof a commodious and respectable habitation, the plan of which has been laid before the Bishop of Lincoln. The house to consist of four rooms both above stairs and below, with pantry and wash-house adjoining. Also to take down and rebuild the stables, the measurements to be not less than 45 feet long and 20 feet wide. To rebuild the barn on a more convenient site, the new barn to be 80 feet long and 35 feet wide. To rebuild the Dovehouse in a more convenient spot, to be 13 feet square with a proportionable height. Faculty granted by Archdeacon of Bedford. Seal: Archdeaconry seal, embossed on tag.
