Scope and Content
i.e. to excavate the ground outside the chancel to a depth of one foot below the chancel floor for the purpose of drainage, to underpin the walls where required and repair the defective parts, to restore the east window and the two lancets at the sides (now blocked up) with Ancaster stone, to repair the other windows, to erect a new stone gable at the east end, to remove the cement parapets and substitute corbel courses, to take up the floor and relay it with encaustic tiles, to put up a new chancel roof, for new seats and oak door, and for rails to the Holy Table. The work to be carried out in accordance with the plans and specifications of E.M. Foster (sic - actually Forster) of London at a cost of £500 to be defrayed by the Rector and his friends 1875
