From: Anstee, Cook and Bennett; To: Thomas Sworder, Luton “We William Anstee of Chalton near Dunstable in the county of Bedford, James John Cook of Bramingham near Luton aforesaid farmer and Benjamin Bennett the younger of Dunstable in the said county of Bedford straw hat manufacturer do under or by virtue of the powers and provisions of a certain indenture dated the first day of October one thousand eight hundred and sixty-two made between you of the one or first part and us of the other or second part hereby give you notice that we do intend at the expiration of six calendar months from the day upon which this notice shall be served upon you to wind up the business now carried on by us under or by virtue of the trust and powers of the said indenture at the Bedford Road Brewery at Luton aforesaid and all the concerns and engagements thereof and to sell and dispose of the same with all the machinery plant and fixtures and all the goodwill and stock in trade assets and effects of or belonging to the said business. Dated this eighteenth day of December one thousand eight hundred and seventy one.”
