  • Scope and Content
From: Thomas Sworder, Luton; To: Thomas Sworder, Hertford "I have received the account left with you by Keale, I have had no time to compare it with your account but it strikes me the Balance against Robert & myself is not so much as by your account, as the Interest is added & our shares are increased from £1,740 to £2,250 & then there is Aspeden & Westmill Estates to be added. I see John has a salary allowed to him besides charging £60 a year for Home & £45 a year for rent. Interest thereon & interest in the sum he advanced. This must be considerably cut down before it can be agreed to. George has just left. I wanted him to stop this evening & go thro the a/c with me but he could not very well do so. I am going to meet Mr.Moss by appointment in London tomorrow about the accounts of Mr.Vyse's executors. I will let you know the result & also as to whether the Westmill accounts had better be placed in the hands of an accountant".
