    .. to w. Ann, annuity of £84 payable out of prop. in Daventry to be paid twice yearly. Provisions in case of default .. to 3 daus., Eliz., Ann and Martha, during their mother's lifetime .... freehold land in Daventry. After mother's death prop. to these 3 daus. and to other dau. Susnh., w. of Jos. Allen, in common .. to w. for life - mess. in Abington St, Northampton, in occ. Thos Sarjeant after death of w. to sd. 3 daus. .. to dau. Susnh., mess. in Milton Malsor (2acres) now in his own occ. .. to sd. 3 daus - all the residue of his prop. Whereas he did sell to Jn. Clay of Daventry, bookseller, Richard Clark of Daventry, baker, John Shaw and Jas. Riley of Daventry, drapers and Henry Stevens of Drayton [Daventry?], Northants. property in Daventry and entered into bonds that 3 younger daus, Ann Martha and Susnh (then under 21) would within 3 mths of becoming 21 confirm to these men the premises so purchased by them and in pursuance of sd. bonds Ann and Martha have confirmed the purchase but Susnh. is still under 21, now he declares that if Susnh and her husband shall not confirm the purchase within 3 months of her becoming 21, then the devises made in this will to Susnh. are to become void and will go to her 3 sisters ..to w. for life .... use of all household goods etc. After her death to sd. 3 daus. .. also to w. .... £20 .. to cousin Jn. Russell, Northampton, gent. .... 5 guineasfor a ring .. to sd. 3 daus. .... all the residue w. and sd. 3 daus. app. executrixes Wits. Robt. Abbey Jn. Miller Jn. Lucas 22 Feb. 1780 With codicil Testator now described as being of Northampton .. to dau. Eliz. .... £30 in addition to what she is left in the will prop. in Milton Malsor, devised to dau. Susnh., charged with payment of the money. This amount is in lieu of the like sum bequeathed her by the will of Mr. Jas. Smith, dec. Wits, as above 11 Aug. 1780 With further codicil .. to sd. 3 daus. .... £50 each in addition to what is devised in will. The ¼ part or share of his Daventry property devised to Susnh. is charged with the payment Wits. as above 16 Sept. 1780 Will proved 9 Jan. 1781
