- Scope and ContentFrom: Thomas Sworder, Luton; To: Thomas Sworder, Lowestoft "I fully intending coming over to see you yesterday but Medcalf informed me that you were gone to Lowestoft. I shall be glad to know whether you will be home again this week, as I am fearful if something is not done, the bank will call upon you to take up your guarantee which I should very much regret after your great kindness to me. I am to let them have an answer by Tuesday next so there is no time to be lost & I have a proposition to make to you which I think will help me out of the difficulty without increasing your responsibility. I really do not like the job of writing to you now you are way from [sic] holiday, but I hope you will not have any cause for uneasiness. I will convey your message to George & the rest. I hear today that all are progressing favourably. Medcalf is here but no settlement is come to as to the Valuatn. I will let you know the result. I have just left Messrs Burr & Crabb & have only just time to write".
