From: Thomas Sworder, Luton; To: Thomas Sworder, Hertford; "I received the Deeds last evg by omnibus all right. The business will not be settled before Saturday. I dare say as they would get the Drafts back at Guilford till tomorrow. The money will be all right as I shall pay it in to meet Messrs Burr & Crabb's demand. What the bank want is to make me pay off part of the old amount & I have this week had another letter from Mr.Bigg stating that the Bank require a definite answer by the 30th inst. I have not yet heard of a partner & it is scarcely possible to meet with one before the 30th whom I could say would join me. I will stir up Mr.Moss again".
