- Scope and ContentFrom: Thomas Sworder, Bedford Road Brewery, Luton; To: Thomas Sworder, Hertford "I find from Benning that the Exors agree to all the alterations in the Draft and that they are coming next week expecting to get the matter settled. I told Benning not to let them by any means come for that purpose but wait till he heard from me. If you can come on Tuesday it would be very advisable & bring Teddy with you Messrs Burr & Crabb, the latter especially, are dreadfully anxious about the settlement and it would be well to quiet them as soon as possible as they would have more confidence in the ultimate Settlement of the affairs. John Foster has written to H.Vyse about the Value of the Brewery & on Tuesday he will have H.Vyse's answer. Mr.Heard told me today that he was instructed by B&C Young to apply for the Brewery & he has no doubt they would have taken it, as they appeared so anxious about it. Perhaps it would be as well not to mention this to C.Young altho Heard did not tell me in confidence. Heard seemed to know what the Brewery was valued by Medcalf & thought it would be bought well a little above that sum. This is melting weather. I hope Aunt is fast recovering & will be able to get downstairs again PS I hear Espinasse is going to take a seat at the office to be near his beloved.
