- Scope and ContentFrom: Thomas Sworder, Luton; To: Thomas Sworder, Hertford "I am much obliged to you for the term of the deeds which I returned by Robert today. Everett's purchase is not yet settled, so I have not yet got hold of the other deeds relating to the property, Charsley has them in his possession. I was in hopes the Welsh business would have been settled this week, the cause came on but the N.C. would not enter into the question of title, so it is now referred to the Master. The N.C. decided that the case of fraud was not of itself sufficient to justify him in refusing the Plt relief. I hope & trust it will not be long before it is settled. Walter Kendall is dead. Perhaps that will make some difference in the Suit King v.King. The Alingtons are now staying at Dunstable. Lockett is gone or intends going to keep a china shop at Bedford.
