    - messuage called Symmys and one close called Lacies, with 24½ acres of land lying dispersed in the fields of Milton; the messuage is situated in le Southe end of Milton, between the tenement of the said John Lucy and the land of the Monastery of Woburn, one head thereof abutting on the common green; which the said John Lucy together with Thomas Ballard of Milton (deceased) had of the feoffment of Thomas Symms of Milton and Jane his wife (both deceased) by deed dated 20 January 17 Edw. IV [1477/8]. The grant is made to the use of the inhabitants of the town of Milton for ever. Witnesses: Thomas Coke sen., John Lucy jun., John Boner, Roger Russell, John Harrys.
