    1) David Willis of Leighton Buzzard, gent. 2) The Governors of Queen Anne's Bounty for the augmentation of the maintenance of the poor clergy 3) Rev. Christopher Ellershaw, clerk, curate of Stanbridge Whereas 2) agreed to augment the curacy of Stanbridge by grants of £200 in 1737, 1775 and 1799, making £600 to be laid out in the purchase of lands for the permanent augmentation of the Curacy. Recites: Lease and release, 22/23 December 1803 1] Mary Keen, spinster 2] David Willis and John Millard, gents. Land hereinafter described was conveyed in trust to the said David Willis Whereas the said land had been approved by 2) for the perpetual augmentation of the curacy and that £400 had been agreed as the purchase price, leaving £200 in the hands of the Governors to be used in the like manner. NOW Consid: £400 paid by 2) to 1), 1) directs, limits and appoints to 3) and his successors as curates of Stanbridge for the perpetual augmentation of the cure - all that close or parcel of land commonly called or known by the name of Furzen Ground, in Hursley, Bucks., [sic - but probably Mursley], 12a. 1r. 25p. :E. lands belonging to Lord Eardley :W. road leading from Whaddon and Stony Stratford :N. land of Mary Fox :S. land of Benjamin Judge As shown in plan in margin [of original, not in this copy], with all cowhouses, outhouses, buildings, ways, paths, passages, wells, springs, watercourses, trees, woods and the ground and soil etc. Free of all Land Tax and incumbrances, except a lease for 21 years from 25 March 1801, at an annual rent of £16 payable henceforth to 3) and his successors. 25 July 1804 Copy C.1804
