Sundon Ex-Servicemen’s Social Club committee minute book: founding members were A. Laird, farmer; Arthur Smith, blacksmith; Thomas Shrives, signalman; F.H. Ealing; J. Ealing; Frederick Odell of Slate Hall; Charles Titmus. The name of the club was changed later in 1927 to The Village Hall Committee, which amalgamated with the Sundon Brass Band Committee in the same year
