    Absolute surrender (out of court) by Ann Goodman of Biggleswade, widow, formerly Ann Ventiman, the only daughter of Thomas Ventiman dec. Admission of Samuel Wells of Biggleswade, only son and heir of Samuel Wells the elder of Biggleswade, brewer, dec. Recites conditional surrender of 17 May 1780, and that £544 was now owing to Samuel Wells from Ann Goodman on account of the mortgage. Agreement that Ann Goodman should sell premises to Samuel Wells for the said £544 and an additional sum of £20 to be paid to her. Also a yearly rentcharge of £16 to be paid by Wells to Goodman for life, this having been secured to Ann Goodman by indenture of even date NOW Ann Goodman surrenders to the use of Samuel Wells - all that messuage, cottage or tenement in Shortmead End, Biggleswade, formerly divided into four tenements in occ. of [tenants as in P10/28/33], now in three tenements in occ. of Edward Haynes, Ann Goodman and Thomas Hull - all that orchard, close and pightle in occ. of Edward Haynes Recites Admission of Ann Goodman to premises 16/17 Oct. 7 Nov. 1781 attached: receipt by Ann Goodman to Samuel Wells for £20 19 March 1811
