    By Jn Harvey, Northill, esq. Humphrey Fyshe, Northill esq. Geo. Barnardiston, Northill, esq. Jn. Mordaunt, Northill, gent Jas. Calamy, rector of the parish church of Northill Edw. Rose, gent. and Timothy Feild, late churchwardens of Northill Reciting legacy in will of Robt. Hancocke, late rector of Northill (will dated 4 Sep 1683) of £60 to be laid out in purchasing land or cottage, half the income from which to be used in mending footways in Northill to improve the paths by which the parishioners come to church, and the other half to be given at Easter to 4 or 5 widows. In his will he left as his trustees in this matter the first four people abovesaid, and when they died, their places to be taken by whosoever should inhabit their mansion houses; Reciting give of £10 by Thos. Bromsall late of Blunham, esq., decd.; £20 given by Humphrey Fyshe of Ickwell, Northill, esq., long since decd.; £20 given by John Carter of Hatch, yeo., long since decd.; £5 given by Robert Thompson, Thornecote, Northill yeo., long since decd., all sums given to the use of the poor of Northill Reciting sale P10/25/18 above, and that the money used to purchase the property was that recd from these various gifts and legacies DECLARATION that the property is held to uses, and that the income from £60 of the purchase to go half to churchways and half to widows, and that the income from the remainder to go to the poor of the parish.
