Agreement for construction of Caldecote Church

1) Thomas Warren of Stevenage, Herts., builder 2) Francis Pott, Rector of Northill, John Harvey of Ickwell Bury, and Gladys Games Portney Pott of the Grange, Caldecote Agreement by 1) to build, erect, and completely finish a Church according to drawings nos 1-8 and specification and conditions signed by both parties, on land belonging to the Ecclesiastical Commissioners in the parish of Northill, for £1700 2) to pay 1) for works duly executed to the satisfaction of the architect Wits: William Burton Signature: 1) . 12 August 1867. Added in pencil: details of contract with Henry Field of Sandy to rebuild the school on land belonging to the Trustees of Northill National schools for £260 [see P10/29/1/2] n.d. [c.1869]
