    Recites will dated 8 January 1941 of the Rt.Rev. Frederick Cyril Nugent Hicks, Lord Bishop of Lincoln, appointing 1) as sole trustee and executrix to whom he devised and bequeathed all his real estate and personal estate for her own use and benefit absolutely; that the Bishop died 10 February 1942 and, at the time of his death was seized in fee simple of the Manor of Toddington with all rights in connection with the South Chapel and pew (being "an old box pew" which stood on the North side of the nave and, with the consent of the then owner of the manor, was taken down in 1921 when modern pews were erected in the space previously occupied by the old pew) in Toddington Church as might be appertaining to the manor, subject to the liability to keep the South Chapel in repair and insured against loss by fire; and that 1) wishes to relinquish the rights belonging to her in the South Chapel, any right she may have in the pews erected on the site of the old manor pew, and her liability in respect of immediate or future repairs to the South Chapel. NOW 1) surrenders and relinquishes all her rights and priveleges in connection with the South chapel and pews erected on the site of the old Manor pew (as above) 2) and 3) (subject to necessary faculty) release and discharge 1) from all claims in respect of repairs to or maintenance or insurance against loss by fire of the South Chapel Witnesses: John Smith, Paul E. Sandlands, Laurence E.Muckleston sigs: 1), 2), and three members of 3)
