- TitleReport of William Peters, Farmer residing at Potton. When he went into his field he found of his men cutting turnip seed. They were the worse for drink. He told them they were injuring his crop. They commenced abusing Peters and left the work. Charles Lincoln, Gilbert Daisley and William Emery all Labourers of Potton went to his home later on and asked for their money. Peters told them he couldn't pay them then because he didn't know what they were due. Lincoln said 'If you don't pay me you b--- old b--- we will stop till you do and we will come in the house and take possession'. Daisley and Emery said the same. Peters sent for the Police who moved them on. Later on they returned and had to be removed by the Police again.
