    Report of Edward Ivens, Publican at the Kings Arms Public House at Shefford. George Henry Hare , Master Miller of Campton, had gone into the House and called for a Brandy and Water. Mrs Ivens served him. When he called for another glass she saw the was the worse for drink and refused to serve him. Hare broke the glass he had and split a panel in the Bar door with his fist. He called Mrs Ivens a 'Damned Whore' and said they kept a 'Damned Whoreshop'. Mr Ivens ordered him to leave several times but he refused to go. Mr Ivens fetched Sergeant Daniels who had to use force to make him leave. Report of Sergeant George Daniels stationed at Shefford. He confirmed that he was called to the Public House where he found Hare in the Bar parlour, very drunk and using most abusive language to Mrs Ivens. He put him out of the Public House. Sergeant Daniels noticed that the bar door was split. Fine 20/-. Costs 8/6
