- TitleReport of Sir John Montague Burgoyne, Baronet who was on the highway in the parish of Sutton leading from Biggleswade to Potton at 10.30pm when he heard a great noise. Edwin Charles Salkeld was shouting as he came along the road and fell against Sir John. He told him to be quiet and go home. He was very drunk and unable to go home. Sir John left him a while. when he returned Salkeld was lying on the metalled part of the road so he pulled him off there and under the park railings. He did not use any bad language. PC Vincent arrived and took him into custody. Been in custody for a week.
