    Information and Summons of Naomi Warren, singlewoman of Biggleswade against William Kay, Butcher late of Potton as the father of her bastard child. During the 12 Months following the birth, 10 May 1880, he had paid maintenance for the child. He went to the house the morning after the birth and said he would look after Naomi and the baby. About a fortnight later he gave her 5/- towards the expenses and had given her money every week up until the fair day when he gave her 6d. Naomi told him she would summons him. He promised her marriage but his mother refused. Report of Ann Kelley, Nurse of Biggleswade. She had attended the birth. She reported that William Kay went the next day and promised to give Naomi money. He gave Naomi the 5/- in the Nurse's presence and promised to give her more. Charge to pay 1/6 until the child was 14 yrs.
