    Reciting a Mortgage of 9 Aug 1889 between John Gregory White of Bournemouth [Hampshire], doctor of medicine and Lucretia Elizabeth Starbuck of St.Kilda, Richmond Hill, Bath [Somerset], spinster. This itself recited the will of Lucy How, widow, of 26 Oct 1886 appointing her nephews Fred Corder and Edward Corder executors and devising certain real estate to FC, with residue to JGW subject to payment of annuity of £500 to Maria White and Mary Frances White and to Caroline Sophia Slee, £100 to EC, FC and Ann Willison and £20 to Joseph Hill if in her service at the time of her death. Also reciting the death of LH on 2 Feb 1889 and proof of her will on 3 Apr 1889. The operative part was that LES paid £2,700 to JGW at 4% interest per annum with legacy to FC (not yet discharged) and annuity and to secure repayment JGW conveyed to LES 44 acres, 2 roods, 5 poles arable land (no.69 [on O.S.]?) as on attached plans. Also reciting a release and conveyance of 6 Oct 1919 between L.E.Starbuck, then of 17 Lion Hill, Bath and J.G.White then of Aspley Guise. Reciting that on 15 Mar 1896 the premises was charged against the repayment of a further £600. Also reciting that JGW wished to give the land to trustees as a club or reading room in commemoration of the late war and a tribute to the men of Aspley Guise who fought. Thus LES at the request of JGW released the land from mortgage being satisfied that it was sufficiently secured otherwise. LES released to JGW a plot of land 1,398 of square yards (as on an attached plan). Also reciting a deed of 19 Mar 1924 whereby J.G.White paid £2,700 to W.A.Pilson and W.V.P.Hexter, executors of L.E.Starbuck, dec’d and they conveyed to him the premises except such portion as had been sold. Also reciting the will of J.G.White of 3 Jun 1926 (proved in PPR on 30 Apr 1930) in which his son Edward How White and daughter Margaret Gregory White were made joint executors and trustees. Also reciting the will of Edward How White of 1 Sep 1936 (proved in Oxford on 10 Apr 1940) in which his wife Grace Milicent White and a Public Trustee were appointed trustees; all his property in Aspley Guise was devised to Richard How Maunsell White for life. Also reciting the will of Margaret Gregory White on which her sister Edith Somers Gregory White was appointed sole executrix. E.S.G.White died on 17 Jan 1945, M.G.White died on 24 Jan 1945 and Letters of Administration were granted to Grace Milicent White and Public Trustee on 30 Sep 1950.
