    Deed of Settlement. (i) Geo Kinge of Luton yeoman. (ii) Wm. Pedder the elder of Chaul End in Caddington ymn. (iii) Edw. Atwood of Luton, draper. Eliz, w. of Geo. Kinge, Eliz. & Mary, his 2 daus. - - Mess. in Luton wherein Geo. K. now dwelleth, (a) the Hawkes (close of arable - 8 ac.) upon Hawke Hill in Luton, abutting on the Broomes close. Mess wherein Thos. Cooper the elder now dwelleth in Luton, Hawke Wood close (10 ac.) also upon Hawke Hill 2 closes in a place called Newe Lands in Luton. 2 ac. arable land in Winsden field & Bayley fld. in Luton, formerly purch. from Jn. Catherall als. Hooke. - - Fosses or Neales with appurts in Luton, Leagrave, Limbury, (b) Biscott & Caddington purch. by geo. King (see AD1214). - - Mess. divided into 2 habitation & sev. Butcher's shops in Hogg Land End, Luton, late purch. by Geo. King (see AD1219). After death of Geo. King:- (a) To use of wife Eliz. until dau. Eliz. age 18, then to her & her heirs, reversn. to dau. Mary, in deft. after death of w. Eliz. to chn. of Mary Godfrey als. Cooper, a neice of G. K., late w. of Wm. G. als. C. of Preston in Hitchin, Herts. ymn., equally div., in deft. to Geo. Kinge, nephew & grdson of G.K., son of Edw. K. of Preston carpenter. (b) To use of w. Eliz. until dau. Mary age 18, then to her & her heirs, reversn. to dau. Eliz., in deft. after d. of w.
