Agreement, Harlington Cemetery

Agreement i) Harlington Parish Council ii) Pearce and Barker Ltd, 71, Leagrave Road, Luton i) holds property in 1st schedule and ii) holds property in 2nd schedule and they have agreed to exchange ii) have agreed to carry out the following works at its own expense and to the satisfaction of i) to erect new caretaker's store in substitution for existing store to be completed not later than 30 November 1961 to construct new access to cemetery from proposed estate road to remove iron boundary railings and to plant new hedge of box and beech on the boundary a water supply is to be laid on to new caretaker's store It is further agreed that 2 existing trees shown on plan shall be preserved within 14 days i) will deliver an abstract of title to ii) of its property and ii) will deliver to i) an office copy of the registered title to its property. The title of i) to commence with a conveyance on sale of 30 November 1899 made between W S Cowper Cooper and others, with i). The title of ii) to commence with the Office Copy of the Land Certificate under title no BD 4822. Exchange to be completed within 6 weeks from date hereof i) will hand over to ii) such documents of title as relate exclusively to land agreed to be assured by i) to ii) 1st schedule - piece of land being part of of Harlington Cemetery and having a brick and slate caretaker's cottage standing thereon - piece of land to north of above land (as shown on map attached) Sig of Secretary to ii) 27 March 1962
