    Declaration of trust: (i) Hen., Earl of Holland; (ii) Fra., Earl of Bedford; Sir Thos. Barrington of Hatfield Broadoak, Essex, bart.; recites :- conveyance on trust: 30 June 1632 (i) Hen., Earl of Holland Sir Nat. Rich Dame Dor. Fowler Ric. Miller Anne Hynshawe Rice Williams Thos. Otway Thos. Stocton (ii) Fra., Earl of Bedford Sir Thos. Barrington Sir Jn. Danvers, Sir Wm. Hicke Ol. St. John, Anth. Nevill, Phil. Rose, Ralph Serecold - - the capital messuage and mansionhouse of the late dissolved monastery called Great St. Bartholomew, West Smithfield; Rich, Fowler, Williams, Otway and Stocton, at the request of Hen., Earl of Holland, with the consent of Ric. Miller and Anne Hinshawe, and for the consideration therein expressed, granted the above property to (ii); to the intent that Francis, Earl of Bedford, and Thos. Barrington, out of the income from it should be 'disengaged' (i.e. apparently repaid) £1700 which they disbursed at the request of Hen., Earl of Holland, as appears in another deed of 30 June 1632 (not recited); in case the first deed of 30 June 1632, by reason of its not being enrolled, should be not sufficient in law, yet notwithstanding Rich, Fowler, Williams, Otway and Stocton shall be seised of said property on the special trust that out of the issues Francis, Earl of Bedford, and Thomas Barrington shall be freed of the sd. debt of £1700: witn.
