Scope and Content
Probate of will of Robert Hill of Luton, carpenter;
- devising to his son John, New Wood, Caddington;
- devising to his son George Francis a messuage in Luton in his own occupation paying £250 to each of the testator's daughters Elizabeth and Harriet and allowing his daughters Ann Maria, Elizabeth and Harriet and his son Frederick to live there until they were 21;
- devising to his son Frederick a cottage and blacksmith's shop in St.Paul's Walden [Hertfordshire];
- devising to his wife Ann a cottage at Luton, formerly in occupation of Elizabeth Alsop for life, remainder to their son frederick;
- devising to his daughter Ann Maria cottages in Caddington in occupation of Matthew Ford and others, charged with annuities to his sons John and Henry;
- bequeathing £100 to his son Frederick;
- bequeathing his working tools, implements and stock-in-trade to his son George Francis;
- bequeathing £5 each to his daughters Mary Barton and Sophia Hogg;
- appointing his daughter Ann Maria and his friend Benjamin Harrison of Luton, draper as executors
