Dav. Starkey. Aged 53; 15 years ago married Hannah Paris, then and still living in St. Pauls. Born in St. John, Newcastle-upon-Tyne; apprenticed to Geo. Alder, Newcastle, cordwainer. His father, Ben. Starkey was also a cordwainer and a freeman of the Corporation of Newcastle. Has gained no other settlement as for many years of his life has served as a soldier "particularly in Col. Barre' Regiment (the 106th) sometime before the making of the Peace in the year 1763" and since then in the Beds. Militia.
