Extracted will of Thomas Carter of Luton, yeoman:
- devising to his wife Ann during her widowhood his messuage, buildings and yard in Luton called White Hart in his own occupation and Red Lion, Hockliffe in occupation of Daniel Osborn; remainder equally to their children as tenants in common;
- bequeathing his personal estate to his wife Ann for her widowhood; remainder equally to their children as tenants in common;
- appointing his wife Ann and friends Daniel Brown of Luton, mealman and William Hare of Breachwood Green [Hertfordshire], cordwainer as executrix and executors;
- witnesses: Daniel Pearman; Samuel Daniel and Thomas Wood;
- proved in PCC on 16 Nov 1829
