    Nigel Arundell Mould, now residing at 34 Cutcliffe Grove, Bedford, who was 17 years of age on the 14th of June 1929, with the consent of his father [not named] and Bertram Mould of Saffron Walden, Essex, to be taken on as a Student by W. H. Allen Sons and Co., Ltd., engineers of Queens Engineering Works, Bedford, for 4 years from 15 January 1930, and to serve 18 months of the term of his service in the Foundries, Pattern Shop, Machine Shops and Electrical Department, and 2 years and 6 months in the Laboratory, Fitting, Erecting and Testing Departments. Annotated that Nigel Arundell Mould completed his studentship ‘to our entire satisfaction’, and that he also spent time in the Tool Room, Smiths Shop and Millwrights Department, and was also sent on Outside Erection Work for the Company on HMS Neptune, Portsmouth.
