Summons issued by Francis George Butler of Eaton Socon, Clerk to the Committee of Visitors of the Pauper Lunatic Asylum for the County of Bedford, Hertford and Huntingdon stiuated in Stotfold that Patrick Leary now of 2 Leete Street in the Parish of Chelsea in the County of Middlesex, formerly Attendant at the Asylum did strike and ill treat George Foster, a Pauper Lunatic Patient confined in the Asylum. Information of Patrick Leary, who had previously been discharged from the Grenadier Guards as being medically unfit because of heart palpitations, detailing what had happened when he saw George Foster with a horse and cart, a long way from the Asylum and not accompanied by an Attendant.
