    Statutory Declaration by John Tansley of Aspley Guise, labourer that: - he was 59 and had been born in Salford; - he knew the Wesleyan chapel, erected in 1814, all his life and had attended services there; - a window existed on the north side of the chapel with shutters opening outside; - until a month or two previously a piece of waste ground 10 feet wide existed between the chapel and an adjoining brick wall to the east and that this ground had been taken into a rick yard and a fence erected close to the chapel; - he had passed over the piece of waste ground every Sunday and week nights when services were held for the past 14 years to fasten back the shutter - sworn at Newport Pagnell [Buckinghamshire] before Henry Rogers Butt
