- Scope and Content"The front pew of the West Gallery was formerly occupied by Dr. Brereton, Headmaster of Bedford Grammar School, 1811-1855, and his scholars. The Councillors of the Corporation occupied the seat shown with the lowered frontage, the Aldermen being seated East of the Pulpit. The old Mayoral Seat of the Church is now the Mayoral Chair in the Town Hall. The North Aisle was built in the Vicarate of the Rev. R.E.R. Watts."
