    Deposition: Thomas Collins, Billington. Confesses to thefts from shop of Jn.Aldinge, and from houses of Wm.Birdseye, Wm.Bigges and Th.Sammes. The Examinacon of Thomas Collins late of Billington in the County of Bedd taken before me St John Thomson Esqr one of his Mates Justices of Peace for the said County on the third day of July 1678 This Examinant confesseth that on Sunday night last beinge the last day of June last he brake open the outer Shoppe of John Aldinge of Heath & Reach Shoomaker and did then and there feloniously take away three paire of new Russette Shooes which were made for men; This Examinant further confesseth that on Monday night last being the first day of this instant July hee did creepe in at the Casement of William Birdseye of Egginton in the County of Bedd in the night, and did then and there feloniously take away a Bible with brass clasps and a peece of Bacon; This Examinant further confesseth that on Tewesday night last beinge the second day of July instant hee did lift up the doore of William Bigges at Billington, & threw out the pinne of the doore, and then and there did feloniously take away a gray course cloath coate, three holland bands, twoe handcherchiefs, one paire of sad coloured cordivant gloves, one home Combe, twee yardes of fourepenny blacks silke ribeninge, a pewter aqua vita bottle that held aboute halfe a pinte, & a gray hatte with a Ribbon band; This Examinant further confesseth that on Wednesday night the 26th day of June last past hee did breake the lattice window and a peece of the walls on the backside of Thomas Sammes house of Husborne Crawley in the County of Bedd and then did pull the pin out of the back doore, and did then and there feloniously take away seven or eight cheeses, one loafe of halfe a pecke, & a halfe Meslyn bread, one paire of woollen gray stockins, and one blew apron; St John Thomson
