Letter from J.Woodman at Leighton Buzzard [to Mr.Sharland] Mr.Ashfield has forwarded me your letter to him of the 11th inst. and requested me to reply to it which I do with much pleasure. Having the offer of purchasing the lease of the late Mr.Reeve's house and looking to the necessary demand of my family for more room, I thought I could not do better than embrace the opportunity. As I take the lease from the 11th October inst. I thought it advisable to remove from my present abode before the winter. I accordingly resolved to lose no time in doing so. I am now actively engaged in this delightful occupation and I trust by the end of next week I shall be in a situation to offer immediate possession to any friend of yours, or other person whom Mrs.Millard may approve. The present rent is 50 per annum and there are some fixtures in the house and premises to be taken by the incoming tenant which were valued to me at the commencement of my tenancy at about 35. I cannot conclude without expressing my regret and reluctance at leaving a place where I have spent several happy years. Should you require any further information than what you already know and what I have now .... you I shall feel happy in communicating with you. With kind regards to Mrs.Sharland
