    Bond of Indemnity from John Gibbard of Sharnbrook House, esquire to Richard Thomas Gilpin of Hockliffe Grange for 1,200, reciting: - marriage settlement of 16 Dec 1812 on marriage of John Gibbard and Mary Hampson in which 4,776 secured by mortgage on lands of John Gibbard at Sharnbrook became vested in Richard Thomas Gilpin in trust for the children of the marriage, the mortgage becoming vested in John Gibbard by will of John Gibbard deceased, his father; - there were nine children of John and Mary Gibbard, of whom Leonard died in Borneo in 1845 intestate and without issue; - 4,776 had been paid by John Gibbard to the surviving children of John Gibbard deceased; - Harry Lee Gibbard and Thomas Bailey Gibbard were in the East Indies; - John Gibbard, Mary Gibbard, Sarah Gibbard, Susanna Gibbard, William Gibbard and trustees of Frances Stileman [ne Gibbard] had executed a release to Richard Thomas Gilpin on 29 Dec 1859 [see Z1093/1/8/1 however] and it was agreed that mortgages and securities for 4,776 should be delivered to John Gibbard upon executing a bond to Richard Thomas Gilpin that Harry Lee Gibbard and Thomas Bailey Gibbard would execute a similar release to Richard Thomas Gilpin Witness: - John Garrard of Olney [Buckinghamshire], solicitor
