Agreement of 25 Jul 1710 Parties: (1) Charles, Lord Bruce (eldest son of Thomas, Earl of Ailesbury & Elgin); (2) Robert Bruce, esquire (second son of late Robert, Earl of Ailesbury & Elgin, who was son of Thomas, Earl of Elgin); (3) Ezekiel Rouse, Rector of Ampthill; Jaspar Webb junior and Thomas Bedcott, Overseers of the Poor of Ampthill; Charles Richards and John Richardson, Churchwardens of Ampthill Operative Part: - (2), with consent of (3), paid 50 to (1) to carry on the charity of giving interest on the money to the poor of Ampthill (begun by will of Thomas, earl of Elgin)
