Statutory Declaration of George Bailey of Luton, gentleman: - he knew William Thorogood of The Compasses, Luton, publican and carpenter who died on 27 Dec 1853; - some of William Thorogood's children died in infancy over 40 years before and apart from these he had seven: Eliza, Charles, James, Samuel, Mary Ann, Thomas and Emma; - Mary Ann Thorogood died in Aug 1835 and was buried in parish burial ground in Church Street, Luton; - William Thorogood's other children survived him; - sworn before Richard Cooke, Commissioner of Oaths
