    Extract from will of George Exton, late of Ampthill, draper, deceased proved in Doctors Commons on 15 Apr 1802: - devising and bequeathing to his friends John Grant of Leighton Buzzard, merchant and Peter Bassett of Leighton Buzzard, draper all his real and personal estate upon trust during the minority of his children ["who have been all long since of Age"]: - several bequests to Mercy, his wife in lieu of dower directing that she should release he dower to their sons and daughters and trustees; - devising to his son William Exton at age 21 his messuage in Ampthill formerly in occupation of "my mother" Ruth Brown and now unoccupied with messuages in Ampthill in occupation of George Odell, Thomas Wheeler, William Field, Thomas Bushby, Richard Evans and John Field; also land in Maggots Moor, Ampthill in occupation of John Patch, William Morris and William Poulton containing 17 acres; also messuages, closes, new allotments, lands and premises in Maulden in occupation of Samuel Richardson and Northwood; also two farms in Marston Moretaine (except tenements in occupation of Gillet and Brandon which testator had directed for sale) in occupation of John Faldor and John Shade; - if William died before 21 the lands to devise to testator's son George Exton and daughter Mary Albright; - John Grant, Peter Basset and Mercy Exton to be executors and executrix
