Letter to the Inspector of Prisons requesting a reduction in the dietary for short term prisoners from the approved Government one, as it is higher than the dietary in any Union workhouse in the County. With reply from the Inspector not granting a reduction in quantity but may substitute coarser or more homely food. With statements of prisoners as to their preferences between prison and workhouse food.
