    Elen Ravens, made 4 Mar 1555/6. No note of probate. "Fyrst I be quith my sole unto the great mercye of Almytye God and yff it be hys wyll as my sure trost ys in hym, in to the Feloshyp and companye of our ladye sent Marye and all the holly compeny of heavn". Burial where it pleases God and her friends. All her land, free or copyhold, lately called the Brothirhed Land lying in the fields of Stratton and in the parish of Bykeliswad to go to her son Francis Ravens and his heirs, in default of heirs, then the land to be divided between her three daughters Joane, Elsabeth and Margerye. To Joane Iverrye the red kirtle that is at her son John Ravens. To Elsabeth Bygge the worsted kirtle that is at John Ravens. To Margery a gown that is at John Ravens. To John Ravens and Francis "my son" between them the £8 3s. 4d. that Master Pygootte owes to testator. When Francis receives the £4 20d. he is to pay the legacy due to Anne Halle alias Braye To son Francis the £6 that son John Ravens owes to her. To Francis also the 40s. that one Elsabeth Byworth alias Morley owes testator. To son Francis the 46s. 8d. that sir John Holdstocke owes her. To son Francis the £15 that sir Thomas Wylly owes her. Executor son Francis Ravens, to whom she bequeath all the debts owing to her. Witnesses sir Thomas Gosdal vicar, John Mar', Robert [?]Clerk.
