Andrews, Nancy to Grantham, Madrid Delayed by accident, axle broke, leaving postillions to repair it; walked over a mountain to the nearest village, pistols under his arm as it was late at night. Has bought three hogsheads of Burgundy and two of Champagne. The 'new Town' at Nancy designed by Hanislaus "wonderfully beautiful". Will order Poplins for Bilbao [apparently at request of Grantham] on arrival in England.
