- TitleHarriet, Boningtom to Baroness Grantham She has been busy nursing her husband, who suffers from gout in the legs and arms. Lord and Lady Hardwicke, accompanied by Henry Yorke, were to leave London this morning, on their way to Ireland. They had intended to stay with Lord Somers at Eastmor Castle, however he had a riding accident, and broke two ribs. She has heard that Sir Joseph Yorke has abandoned his foreign tour, and Eliot Yorke suggested it was due to Lord Henry Paulet's illness. Her sister visited, and then left for Brighton last week. She saw Lady St. Germains in London who told her Mrs Townly had unexpectedly given birth to a baby boy while she was staying with her. Both mother and child are well, despite being a month premature.
