Elizabeth, St. James' Square to Baroness Grantham, Wrest Park They are going to see their tenants at Tittenhanger. Mr and Mrs Yorke arrived in London last night. Discusses the trial, [of Queen Caroline], which is drawing to a close, and she thinks has been unduly scandalised. She comments, "I doubt there is much hope of anything like unanimity of opinion on any one point except the internal evidence of her guilt - Much of the proof is shaken - and even the tent establishment is more like "foregone conclusion", than present evidence". She hopes the Bill fails on the second reading. Lord Hardwicke's health has improved.
